Rich man, poor man

Blindness continues to afflict the American church. A Seattle-area pastor taught on TBN recently that Jesus wanted to give the Laodiceans, a body of wealthy believers, even more prosperity. He totally twisted Scripture and poisoned the message. Messiah did just the opposite – He reproved the congregation because its wealth had dulled its heart and commitment to the Lord. Christ's words: "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' – and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked (Rev. 3:17)."

The prosperity message is a counterfeit. Yeshua said to lay up for ourselves treasure in heaven, not on earth. The preacher implied that the Laodiceans' only sin was that they did not ask for enough. He failed to mention the Lord's warning in Rev. 3:16 – Repent, or I will vomit you out of My mouth.
