Oh, when will You come to me? – Psalm 101:2
This verse is interpreted beautifully by rabbinic sources in the ArtScroll Tanach Series book on Tehillim (Psalms):
Eventually, this man shuns the company of men, with their incessant quarrels and strife. He secludes himself with God, who now reveals Himself to him frequently, because his path and God's perfect way have merged into one.
We see this principle at work within the Oneness of the Godhead. After feeding the 5,000, Yeshua of Nazareth departs for a mountain, where the Son secludes Himself with the Father (John 6:15). Yeshua, whose mere presence incited strife and quarrels among unredeemed men, craved intimacy with the Father, as should we. In Matthew 6:6 we are told how: "When you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly."
