God is too big to measure. Louie Giglio makes that point by using a golf ball as a visual in the YouTube video below. The ball, representing earth, is dwarfed by massive stars with names like Beetlejuice and Canis Majoris. Conclusion: We serve an awesome, mighty God who stretches out the heavens like a curtain (Isaiah 40:22). Below are parts one and two of his "How Great Is Our God" presentation. Parts three through five can be found here, here and here. A couple highlights:
Like the universe, the human body is a reflection of God's greatness. The protein molecule that holds us together, laminin, is stamped with His signature – a cross symbol, which is the Hebrew letter tav in the ancient pictographic script. The tav is the last letter in the Hebrew alphabet. Yeshua (Jesus) says in Revelation 22:13 He is the Aleph and Tav, the beginning and end (in Greek it's translated Alpha and Omega). This picture fits perfectly with Colossians 1:16-17 – "All things were created through Him (Yeshua) and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist."
Giglio also shares a startling image captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. A tav symbol is silhouetted across the nucleus of the Whirlpool spiral galaxy, 31 million light years from earth. The photo was released in 1992 and published in Time magazine. Scientists believe dust rings formed the cross, which marks the location of a massive black hole. The galaxy lies perpendicular to earth and offers an unobstructed view of its bright core. In other words, God didn't hide this celestial sign, which points to a cross. The ancient tav symbol can angle either right or left, just like the shape of the laminin molecule and Whirlpool cross.
