Years ago I asked God to show me His ways. He answered by giving this Gentile Christian a Jewish heart. The Lord taught me to see Scripture through a Hebraic lens, which made His Word come to life. This blog is a diary of that journey. The work includes teachings, devotionals and short stories. At least three entries are re-edited articles that appeared in Christian magazines.

As a Bible student I see Romans 11:17-18 clearly – the natural branch, Israel, supports the wild olive tree, the Gentile church. Israel is the source of spiritual nourishment, not the Greco-Roman, pagan influences that have polluted Christianity. I call the Lord by His real Hebrew name, Yeshua, rather than Jesus. Yeshua in Hebrew means salvation.

I have worked in newspaper journalism for more than 30 years, most of that time as a sports page designer. I live in the Seattle area with my wife Alisa and our four children. I thank Yeshua for His many blessings. I did nothing to earn or merit them. I am redeemed by His grace alone.
